the Commander-in-Chief of the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran traveled to Ethiopia at the head of a delegation to attend the 116th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the Ethiopian Police and with the aim of strengthening police cooperation.

On Saturday, May 4, 2025, the Commander-in-Chief of the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran traveled to Ethiopia at the head of a delegation to attend the 116th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the Ethiopian Police and with the aim of strengthening police cooperation. Brigadier General Radan, who traveled to Ethiopia at the invitation of the Chief of the Ethiopian Federal Police, was welcomed by a high-ranking delegation of the Ethiopian police upon his arrival.

During his stay in Addis Ababa, the Commander-in-Chief of the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Federal Police of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia signed a cooperation memorandum of understanding. The memorandum was signed by Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan, Commander-in-Chief of the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Demelash Gebremichael, Chief of the Ethiopian Federal Police.

In this document, both parties emphasized the development of bilateral cooperation in combating transnational crimes and supporting law and public order. Key provisions of the memorandum included enhancing police cooperation, sharing information and experiences on organized crime, fighting terrorism and cybercrime, border control, countering the production and trafficking of illegal drugs, psychotropic substances and chemical precursors, as well as combating human trafficking.
